Norfolk Southern’s Family Assistance Center will continue to operate through Friday, Jan. 18 to address the needs of residents and businesses affected by the Jan. 6 train derailment in Bartow.
Norfolk Southern is compensating affected members of the community for their inconvenience and out-of-pocket expenses. Affected residents should bring a driver’s license or other proof of residence, as well as receipts for expenses in order to receive compensation.

After 12 p.m. Friday, individuals who were evacuated and unable to come to the center, can set up an appointment by calling Ken Conleay at 478-749-6073.
