Thomas E. Hurlbut has been named vice president audit and compliance for Norfolk Southern Corporation, with headquarters in Norfolk, effective Feb. 1. He will report to CEO Wick Moorman.
Hurlbut succeeds Joseph C. Dimino, who retires Jan. 31 after a 33-year career in the law and executive divisions at Norfolk Southern.
Hurlbut joined Norfolk Southern in 1992 as senior accountant and served as manager financial reporting, director corporate accounting, director accounting research and analysis, and assistant vice president corporate accounting before being named assistant vice president internal audit in 2008. He holds an accounting degree from Washington and Lee University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
