In an effort to improve service on the overall NS Intermodal network, we will be making targeted changes to our service offerings. These changes are designed to reduce operational complexity along key routes and at key hubs in the Northeast and Southeast, allow for greater operational flexibility, and improve terminal fluidity in key markets. The result of these changes are expected to drive operational improvements and the fluidity of the overall network.
Many of these changes impact our services to/from the Northeast. As such, viable alternative routing options are available via other nearby terminals such as Rutherford, PA or Croxton, NJ. Please talk to your marketing representative about these options.
The service changes and effective dates will be as follows:
Service will be added in the following lanes effective May 1, 2018. Service schedules and rates will be sent out in the near future:
