Repairs continue following yesterday’s derailment near Cody, VA which is impacting the route between the Northeast and Southeast markets. Current estimates suggest that service will be restored later tonight. Every effort is being made to divert shipments around the impacted area to minimize shipment delay; however, until service is restored customers may encounter shipment transit delay of 24-36 hours on shipments billed for movement in the following lanes:
- Croxton <> Southeast/Dallas (KCS)
- Norfolk <> Cleveland/Harrisburg/VA Inland Port
- Rutherford <> Southeast/Dallas (KCS)
No intermodal shipments were involved in the derailment. We will provide updates as information is made available.
