NS Veterans Remember
Ralph L. Fuller I went into the army in the spring of 1952. I had my training at Fort Pickett, Va., and went to Korea as a field medic in October of 1952. I was taken prisoner while I was treating two Chinese soldiers. That was in violation of international law, but that did not bother them. I like to think there are two Chinese men still alive because of me. I was sent back to Fort Pickett to train other medics until the army decided to transfer all medical training to Brook Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Tex. I was a drill instructor and taught first aid to new medics and taught military justice to new doctors and nurses. |
