I served three years active duty in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, from April 1970 to April 1973. My duty station was the Fixed Signal Operations Company at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Aka, where I was assigned as a Communications Center Specialist. Upon being honorably discharged, I was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
